SUN POWER
Sunlight is vital. Obviously, there would be no physical life without it. However, the benefits of sunlight go way beyond the physical. The purest form of Vitamin D comes from the SUN and it's FREE! Finally something that has many benefits and is quite convenient, without harmful and dangerous side affects.
Contrary to popular belief, regular sun bathing is extremely important. Recent breakthrough studies have shown that spending even short intervals of 10 to 15 minutes in the sun allows your body to produce vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin. Researchers now agree that vitamin D deficiency is linked to many cancers—and is most strongly linked with breast, colon, lung, and prostate cancer.
However, we must still take caution with sun exposure and be careful not to burn. At the beginning of the season, go out gradually and limit your exposure to perhaps as little as 10 minutes a day during the early morning hours.
Progressively increase your time in the sun so that in a few weeks you will be able to have normal sun exposure with little risk of skin cancer. You will need to carefully determine your own sunlight needs and skin tolerances and learn what kind of exposure you need to tan without burning. Remember, wearing sunglasses and sunblock (Click: natural sun screen recipe)...you are blocking your body from the sun. The sun filters into the eyes giving energy to the endocrine system. Did you know the sun holds all the colors of the rainbow?
We can actually absorb sun energy and utilize its nutrients in many different ways--including via sun gazing, sun bathing, drinking sun-charged water, walking barefoot on dirt or sand, and by eating raw, live food.

How to make Sun Water:
- Fill a half or full gallon clear glass jar with drinkable water; preferably filtered, distilled, or tap water.
- Place it outside on the ground in your yard (on bare earth, if possible) with a glass cover on it sometime in the morning.
- Leave it outside for 5 to 8 hours. More time is not necessary, and less time has less effect.
- Drink this water through the next 24 hours. Do not store in plastic, and there is no need to refrigerate.
Tips:
- Have two sets of container and cover, so that while you are drinking from one, you can use the second to sun-charge the next days water.
- After 24 hours, you can water houseplants with the day’s water, as well as give it to your pets!
- Do not worry too much about using different colored glass, etc. There is much confusion in this area; just use clear glass. I recycle my gallon size glass jars from Costco that had pickles, olives or whatever foods in it. If you want to go fancy and convenient with a pour spout here are a couple of links:
Glass beverage dispenser (check on Amazon or Ebay for competitive prices) - Energy in solarized water can be stored for 24 hours only by earthen pots, such as glass, mud or clay and not copper. In winter, keep it inside the house by a window. Amount of sun-charged water for the day is a minimum of: 1/2 your body weight in ounces. For Example, if you weigh 100 lbs, then you must drink a minimum of 50 oz. As such, there is no maximum, but be realistic!
Sun Gazing
There are 5 different ways for the sun to be absorbed into our body.
How To Sun Gaze:
An hour after sunrise or an hour before sunset. Stare directly at the sun with the naked eye. It is scientifically proven beyond a reasonable doubt that during these times, one is free from UV and IR rays exposure, which is harmful to your eyes. Try to do them both times a day, but no less than 15 minutes a session. Best if you could do the whole hour!
Benefits:
Sun gazing also has the added advantage of getting vitamin A and D during the 1-hour safe period window. Vitamin A is necessary for the health of the eye, the only vitamin that the eye requires. If you sungaze, the spectacles and the associated power in the eye will go away and this will provide better eyesight without glasses.
The most basic benefits are improved health, increased energy levels, clearer thinking, an increase in awareness, a great time and opportunity to meditate and results from what is called wish fulfillment.Wish fulfillment is practiced during the time that you are gazing at the sun. One focuses on inner desire and needs, and having these things come into one’s life. It is an amazing practice. I have had the most inspirations and solutions while doing this. Even when it's cloudy out, or winter time...the sun is still there and available! Just because it's cloudy or cold out, don't lack in Vitamin D. Have you ever wondered why you burn faster when it's cloudy out? The sun's rays are bouncing off of the clouds back down to the earth, utilize the sun and it's power...even on them cold and cloudy days!
- The most important is through our eyes; our entire bloodstream passes through our eyes twice within one hour and gets charged with the energy of the sun. Every 8 seconds, the sun filters through our eyes and into our body
- The sun can be absorbed and stored in the sun cells of the skin.
- Sun charged water brings sun energy to the metabolic system of the body. The air brings sunshine via the lungs to supply the metabolic function (both the nutritive system and the cleansing system).
- Sun ripened fruits and vegetables bring sunshine to our brain and bone structure.
- The pineal gland distributes the sunshine to the endocrine system.
